My name is Lily! I was turned into the rescue because my owner was moving out of state and could not take me. I am fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I am very sweet and love to be petted. I have a very humble demeanor. I have a submissive personality. I love to be scratched behind my ears and on my back! I'm good with other dogs of all sizes and children. I don't know about cats because the rescue doesn't have any cats. My vet says that I am part poodle but if you look at the pictures of my parents they also have very curly hair so I don't think that I am. I am low energy and I follow my foster around in the house without getting underfoot. I'm happy to lay down and wait until we go to the next room. I sleep under my foster mom's bed. I would enjoy long walks or just hanging out in the house. I don't like to stay outside by myself but enjoy the outdoors if my person is with me. I am working on house training. My previous owner said that I am house trained but I do still have accidents in my foster's home. My video is the day that I was surrendered to the rescue and that is my owner talking about me. A video of me in the rescue for several weeks is on the rescue's website. I am a wonderful companion. I'm ready and waiting to go to my new forever home.
