My name is Charlie ! I am 3 years old and weigh about 45 lb. I'm a little on the chunky side. I have an excellent disposition. I get along well with other dogs, and love children. I love to go for car rides. I'm an excellent companion and very well behaved in the house. I do get on the furniture, but I have a special blanket that I lay on in one spot when on the furniture.I don't try to dark out the door or counter surf. I walk well on and off leash. I know sit, stay, out, and come. I do need plenty of daily exercise. Because of this, I would not be suitable for an apartment or condo. I stay in the yard . I will also stay by any objects that you leave in the yard such as your lawn mower, until you either call me or put it away. I'm good about staying in the yard. I'm an excellent watchdog and I only bark when there's something to bark about. My current owner walks with a cane and sometimes if he needs help getting up, I will stand very still and let him use me to lean on to get up. I'm very smart and need a job to do. My owner is rehoming me because he is becoming unable to care for me anymore.
